Losing Sleep Over the Economy?

Posted on 01. Feb, 2010 by in In the News

If the recent financial crisis in the U.S. has you up at night, you’re not alone. A recent survey of more than 1,100 employed adults finds that worries over the cost of living, credit card debt, retirement accounts, and making their mortgage payments were keeping 92 percent of respondents awake at night.

If you have trouble falling asleep, skip the over-the-counter or prescription sleeping pills—which can cause a wide range of side effects—and reach for a natural alternative. Calcium and magnesium have a calming effect. B vitamins help promote relaxation and are good for relieving stress. Drink chamomile tea throughout the day to calm the nervous system and promote restful sleep.
